Cargo Ship Dry Dock Equipment Design & Supply

Winroy Industries P/L was engaged by the International Shipping Company to design and provide the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning components for the vessel which was to be dry docked in Singapore early in 2014,

Winroy Industries P/L had a tight time frame in which to identify the equipment required and source the products prior the ship leaving Australia for Singapore for the works to be completed at a predetermined time frame in Singapore for slipping, this dead line was meet with components being either sourced direct from suppliers or Custom manufactured to suit and transported within the available time frame.

The components provided following design and sizing, with engineering required to determine the correct sizes and operation was provided by the Ships Engineer which included the following items:

• 50 KW Air Conditioning Fan/ Coil unit and Air Conditioning replacement Compressor, sized and custom manufactured to replace the existing Fan/ Coil unit which was at the end of its serviceable life, with parts no longer available from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
• Chiller and Freezer replacement condensing units and controls, following relevant information being provided Winroy Industries determined the equipment required, sized from the evaporator type and size, dimensions and usage of the Freezer and Cold-room dual compartment facility, the refrigeration systems were also retrofitted to environmentally friendly refrigerant with TX valve, compressor oil and drier replacement.
• Electronic Controls were also provided to replace the mechanical controls, the replacement Carel Controls and associated components were supplied and pre-programmed for installation in Singapore.

All of the above equipment was procured and delivered within the time frame required with information provided from the Ships Engineer, as the Cargo Ship was operating and working during the lead up time to the Dry Dock, all components were sourced without Win Roy Industries P/L actually visiting the ship as it was at sea for most of this period.
